March 2026

It was great to connect with so many of you at swine industry events throughout January and February. We spoke with many producers and team members about potential new PigCHAMP features, and now it’s time for us to roll up our sleeves and start bringing some of those ideas to life.

PigCHAMP Mobile App

The PigCHAMP Mobile App is easy to use. The mobile app allows for remote data entry of reproductive information while providing the basic reporting functionality and detailed validation that you've come to expect.

Users can select the connectivity mode that best fits their barn environment.

Producers who are lucky enough to have strong reliable Wi-Fi or cell service within their barns can choose online mode, whereas producers with weak or sporadic connectivity in your barns can choose intermittent mode which allows you to record data to your device, and then sync daily data to your PigCHAMP when connectivity is available.

From there, data entry and reporting functionality in the PigCHAMP mobile app is easy to navigate to. From any screen you can select other activities by tapping the main menu icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Not only can you enter data, but you can run and view basic reports, search and edit animal history.

All event fields will mirror how you have your individual events defined within your PigCHAMP program, including any customized fields you have created.

PigCHAMP mobile is known for being able to validate the data directly in the barn, no matter the mode. The validation feature will assist you in catching any potential mistakes while entering data, with warning messages notifying you that an event you are entering does not match the animal's previous history or criteria set for your farm.

Tips and Tricks

Did you know that with PigCHAMP you have the option to run your Cohort Analysis by arrival date? Like the other cohort analysis reports, this report follows the gilts first productivity cycle based on the date the gilts arrived and/or made available to the herd. Users will be able to analyze the cycle 1 service through the resulting wean.
