Wrapping up the first week...

It's been a long hard week, but the Japfa Comfeed folks are still smiling!

 To celebrate the end of the week, Donna and Jayne were treated to a Japanese style bbq. (I know, they are making us all jealous with all the photos of food!)

 

 

Day 5... either you love bacon, or you're wrong!

A few bumps today related to data collection vs. best practice; here the team is discussing weaning events and what the best practice will be for recording their wean shipments directly to the nurseries with the farm staff. These types of discussions are so important to the success of an organization and the implementation of software. It's all about the food...

The Grow-Finish team was actively engaged in learning how to enter historical data into the PigCHAMP Grow-Finish program. They are nearly caught up!


After another productive day it was time for dinner with some of the team nothing like a little sushi and dessert .... As Sara says,  "sharing is caring."

Traffic chaos, training success!

The Japfa office is about 1 to 1 1/2 hour commute from our hotel depending on the traffic. A company driver picks us up every day at 7:30 a.m., which is a good thing as Donna and I both agree there is no way we could drive here! (This quick video will give you a glimpse of what the experience of driving in Vietnam is like!)     Boy did we get a lot accomplished today … we were able to convert their Reproductive farm data (2500 females) from an Excel format in to the PigCH ...
