In February 2019, our Allied Business Partner PIC South Africa, hosted their roadshow. They toured around South Africa and informed producers of the latest developments in pig genetics. During their roadshow, they awarded producers for excellent production of pigs weaned/sow/year.
These awards are the results of PigCHAMP Benchmarks that are conducted every quarter. PigCHAMP customers that choose to take part, receive personalized graphs and comparisons to show improvements that were made during each quarter.
This healthy competition is a great ranking tool they use to determine national and regional winners. The first awards were given out during their 2017 roadshow based on 2016 year-end figures. This is now a prominent part of their roadshow.
