Agri Incineration Systems Offers Livestock Operations a Cleaner, Faster, and More Cost-Effective Way to Manage Animal Waste.

Agri Incineration Systems Ltd. is headquartered in Worcestershire, UK, but has an ever-growing global network of both distributors and customers operating internationally.
The people at the company have decades of experience refining the science of on‑farm incineration, but its mission today is clearer than ever: provide livestock operations with a biosecure, reliable, and cost‑effective way to dispose of animal waste.
While many producers still rely on third‑party collection, composting, or outdated brick‑built incinerators, Agri Incineration Systems continues to demonstrate why modern, monolithic‑cast incinerators are becoming the preferred solution for farms looking to protect herd health and reduce operational risk.
What separates its technology from others is its concrete, monolithic casting system—one piece of concrete—that ensures maximum strength, reliability, and a longer machine life.
More importantly, it helps maintain a farm’s biosecurity efforts.
“Biosecurity is major,” Business Development Director Graham Crown told Benchmark magazine during a recent interview. “People need to get rid of their waste in a biosecure way based on the world we live in now—diseases, how they can be spread, contamination, the speed at which it spreads.”
He noted that traditional collection services often move from farm to farm in a single day, carrying dead animals from multiple sites. “That truck is carrying dead, possibly diseased animals from one farm to another as it does its pickups. How is that for biosecurity?”
Rapid disposal is another key factor. “Getting rid of waste in a quick fashion so it’s not hanging around” is essential, Crown said.
Hot weather accelerates decomposition, increases odor, and attracts scavengers—all of which raise the risk of disease transmission. Composting, while common, is labor‑intensive, requires carbon inputs, and consumes large amounts of space.
“With composting, the more they have to get rid of, the more costly it becomes,” Crown explained. “With our kit, if you’re losing stock, it becomes cheaper to dispose of and more biosecure.”
A GLOBAL FOOTPRINT WITH GROWING DEMAND
The company offers 23 different models, including its smallest for swine, the Cyclone 033, Cyclone 055, Cyclone 064, and Cyclone 132, capable of incinerating several pigs at any one time.
For larger volume sites and/or emergency disease outbreaks such as H1N1, Neil Rossiter, Managing Director of Agri Incineration Systems, added that the company’s Cyclone 1250, Cyclone 1870, Cyclone 2650, and Cyclone 3860 would be a better choice. “Our largest machine is the Cyclone 3860, which can handle up to 2,200 lb every hour.”
While the company has not increased the number of incinerator models it offers, Crown mentioned that the company has expanded significantly since last year.
“We’ve increased the distribution network around the world, and our sales have increased significantly,” Crown outlined, noting that the company now works with distributors across the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Eastern Europe, Spain, Bulgaria, the Philippines, China, and throughout the UK.
He attributed this growth to rising awareness of biosecurity risks and the company’s efforts to educate producers. “We do a lot of brand recognition and awareness,” he said. “We talk up the value of incinerators—not just why you should buy ours, but why you should buy an incinerator to start with.”
The company’s reputation has also benefited from the shortcomings of older incineration technologies. “Previous brands of incinerator don’t help new brands moving forward because of the quality and the issues people have had,” Crown observed.
Many farms still use brick‑built units that crack over time due to uneven expansion and contraction. “A brick‑built incinerator is designed to fail,” he said. “With ours, the way it’s constructed with a full monolithic cast, they realize there’s a big difference in the quality.”
Rossiter agreed. “The speed at which it gets rid of the carcass is much different. It’s much quicker,” he pointed out. “They end up with double the throughput with half the fuel running cost because of our intelligent control system.”
ENGINEERING IMPROVEMENTS AND CUSTOM PROJECTS
While the company’s core lineup remains stable at around 23 models, Agri Incineration Systems continues to refine its designs.
“We’ve made a number of engineering changes,” Crown acknowledged. “And it’s not necessarily changes that we would shout about because it’s our USP (unique selling proposition).”
These incremental improvements mean that a machine purchased today, noted Rossiter, is significantly more advanced than one sold a few years ago, even if the exterior looks similar when compared.
The company has also taken on several custom-built projects. One involved designing a pet cremation machine for a customer in the Netherlands. Another customer required engineering for a large incinerator for installation in a research facility’s basement.
“We were up against numerous other providers of incineration equipment, so we were particularly pleased and proud to win that one,” Crown said.
Agility remains a core strength. “If somebody wants something changed and it’s a possibility, then we’ll certainly look at doing it,” Rossiter remarked. “We’re agile enough to make sure the incinerator still performs at its optimum but fits around the particular customer’s operational needs.”
MATCHING MACHINE SIZE TO FARM NEEDS
When asked whether farms are requesting larger or smaller machines, Crown said it depends on the operation.
“Predominantly, US pig farms are bigger by number of head,” he explained, requiring larger machines such as the Cyclone 1250, 1870, 2650, or 3860. “They need to know they can deal with any potential outbreaks,” he said.
In other regions, smaller units placed near individual barns may be preferred to avoid cross‑contamination risks associated with centralized disposal.
“Some people prefer having one small unit next to each barn rather than having a centralized location,” said Rossiter.
Regardless of size, producers consistently cite the same challenges: biosecurity, odor control, environmental protection, and compliance with regulations. “There really aren’t many biosecure methods to get rid of waste outside of incineration,” Crown said.
CHANGING PERCEPTIONS AND GROWING ADOPTION
Convincing producers to reconsider incineration has taken time.
“It’s taken us probably eight or nine years to convince people in the States,” Crown reflected. “You mention the word incinerators, and they’re like, no—it’s messy, it’s foul, it’s expensive, it doesn’t work.”
But as more producers see the difference between older brick‑built units and modern monolithic cast systems, attitudes are shifting.
“Once people can understand that incineration is a very clean way of doing it—our incinerators get rid of the smoke and the smell—it helps us get that message out there,” pointed out Rossiter.
Repeat orders from major producers are now common. “We’ve got some big customers that have 20 machines of all sizes,” Crown said. “It’s starting to yield some good fruit for us now.”
