See what's new from PigCHAMP at the January Pork Shows

If you're planning to attend one of the upcoming pork industry trade shows we'll be attending stop by and see what's new at PigCHAMP. Some of the new features we have introduced over the past few months include:

  • PigCHAMP Mobile now offers a Bar Code Scanning feature. Handheld mobile units that are equipped with a bar code scanner can now use this enhanced feature in the PigCHAMP Mobile program. When used to scan a bar-coded ear tag or sow card, the animal's identity will be immediately displayed for easy and error-free data entry or reporting. PigCHAMP Reproductive can now print bar codes directly on sow cards
  • The new Productivity Analysis Report provides a breakdown of the non-productive days for all of the females in the herd, thereby allowing you to analyze the strengths and weaknesses in production. The report also includes the average length of the non-productive categories.
  • With the new Piglet Genetic Link feature, piglets can be assigned an identity at farrowing or weaning. If that piglet is then retained as a gilt or boar, PigCHAMP will automatically create a link. This is useful for genetic multiplier herds and for sharing data with your genetic supplier.
  • PigCHAMP Grow-Finish now has a Packer Data Import feature and a Feed Mill Interface, giving users the ability to quickly and easily import data into their Grow-Finish software.
  • Genetic Progeny Lookup Items: You will now be able to define and manage multiple genetic crosses (sire x dam lines) associated with a single genetic line. This enhancement allows you to take advantage of two new Service Performance Summery reports Genetic Cross (Sire x Dam) and Progeny Genetics.
